I think the fact that she phoned you and 'kindly" reminded you of how she felt, was a sign that things are tugging at her conscience, she is breaking. Either way, it might not seem like it, but what ever happens will be for the best, you will see.

Ai Juniper, so sorry for all the lack of acceptance, it must be incredibly hard. And what a great nose your little one has, b.t.w. Such a pretty pic. In a way I feel really sorry for your mom and MIL because there will be such regret one day, so many lost opportunities, all those precious moments right now, and they are missing out on them. And yes, perhaps they won't come round, perhaps it will even be blamed on you, but deep inside they will know that they made their choices at the time. In the meantime I hope that you can protect yourself against all the insensitive comments.
